These quick and easy Homemade Scones with Oat Flakes are subtly full oat goodness making them a bit healthier. No sugar, no raisins or other stuff, just lovely warm scones. And it makes a lovely pair with your morning cup of coffee.
Oat flakes scones are a wonderfully delicious treat featuring simple flavors. Not too sweet and nicely soft, these scones are a great breakfast treat or afternoon snack.

Can you store Homemade Scones with Oat Flakes?
If you have any leftovers, these scones should keep in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. If you want them warmed, a short stint in the microwave should do it.

Homemade Scones with Oat Flakes
Ingredients
- 2 dl oat flakes
- 4 dl wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 0,5 tsp salt
- 50 g butter
- 2 dl milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250C° / 480F.
- Mix oat flakes, wheat flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Finely chop the butter in the flour mixture.Add milk and mix quickly to a sticky dough.Divide the dough into 4 parts, and with a little flour on the fingers it becomes less sticky. Place the breads on a plate with parchment paper. Pat dough about 1,5-2 cm thick.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 12-15 minutes, until golden brownBest eaten when still slightly warm, preferably with just butter or cheese with jam.Cuisine is inspiration!
